Overview

GBSI is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional for the role of Principle Portal Integrator in Pensacola, FL to provide support to further design and develop the existing NETFOCUS/OPMIS BI universe and expand beyond the OPMIS database to STA-21, Selection/Placement, Summer Cruise and NROTC Scholarship Application data.


Responsibilities
  • Designs, develops and manages NETFOCUS_ADHOC_UNIVERSE updates as new requirements are added for ad-hoc reporting such as CRUISE, SIDELOAD, PFA-PFT design changes, Standard Deviation report for SIDELOAD, SSM data, create EOM (End of Month) reports for Metrics and Attrition related data;
  • Implements and maintains smooth operation and physical design of databases; Conducts performance tuning of indexes, optimization of storage functionality, and databases in general;
  • Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements;
  • Maintains security and integrity controls;
  • Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization;
  • Designs and develops necessary objects and object definitions based on new client and stakeholder requirements as directed;
  • Creates, manages, and provides support for Business Objects as an administrator including but not limited to Crystal Reports and Web Intelligence Reports;
  • Creates Senior Management (Dashboard look and feel) reports for Navy IG using Web Intelligence;
  • Provides support for report migration between DEV, QA, and PROD servers;
  • Monitors and validates monthly scheduled jobs and support developers with ad-hoc report creation and issue resolution;
  • Provides end user support for NIGHTS and NETFOCUS Universes;
  • Resolves post migration issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a curriculum that provides substantial knowledge in complex systems administration, is in a computer science, a physical science or a mathematics-intensive discipline;
  • Six (6) years of industry accepted Information Technology (IT) experience is required;
  • DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance is required;
  • IAT II (CCNA Security or CSA+ or GICSP or GSEC or Security+ce or SSCP) certification is required;
  • SAP BusinessObjects universe and report design/development/maintenance is required;
  • SAP BusinessObjects Administration experience is required;
  • Oracle/SQL experience is required;
  • Experience with Crystal reports is a plus;
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and working knowledge of data warehousing is a plus.
