• Maintains current architecture and complete weekly maintenance cycles;
• Works with remote systems and team members insuring availability of all systems;
• Monitors storage system health and performance utilizing monitoring tools, troubleshooting issues as they arise;
• Configures, installs, and maintains new deployments and patches;
• Hardens Linux servers to meet DoD STIG requirements;
• Some weekend work may be required.  Will be required to work one (1) afternoon and evening per week for maintenance, currently falling on Wednesday.  Schedule is flexible to accommodate maintenance activities.

• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related field plus five (5) years of relevant experience; or Master's degree in a Computer Science or related field plus three (3) years of relevant experience; or Associate's degree in a Computer Science or related field plus seven (7) years of relevant experience; or Nine (9) total years relevant experience in lieu of degree;
• Active DoD issued government Secret clearance required;
• IAT Level II certification is required (Security+);
• UNIX/Linux command line and shell scripting experience is required;
• Experience managing software patching, system update procedures and documentation is required;
• Proficiency with Operating Systems (OS) administration and hardware support for various types of systems is required;
• Training/experience developing an installation plan for hardware/software is preferred;
• Experience implementing security measures; proficiency and knowledge in DoD STIG requirements for Linux systems preferred;
• Experience hosting and administering large data storage clusters to a variety of customers and hardware specifications is preferred;
• Understanding and ability to implement updates and patches using Puppet and Salt is preferred;
• Knowledge with Python, Java, Awk, Sed, and Ruby scripting is preferred;
• Software testing, implementation and documentation experience preferred.
