Description
Overview

GBSI is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional for the role of Systems Integrator in Pensacola, FL to maintain operation and security posture of local-area and wide-area networks supporting Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) training sites.

Responsibilities
  • Designs and plans network systems;
  • Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture;
  • Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements;
  • Conducts testing of network systems;
  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.;
  • Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network;
  • Identifies, troubleshoots and corrects network issues. Works with technicians at remote training sites to test connectivity and resolve site-specific LAN issues. Works with WAN service providers to troubleshoot connectivity and restore wide-area links to training sites. Documents and tracks level of effort using provided ticketing management system;
  • Configures and deploys switches, routers, and appliances locally and to remote training sites. Supports, configures and maintains network management servers. Monitors, maintains and inventories network systems and components;
  • Conducts configuration and asset management audits of deployed network devices. Maintains documentation and databases relating to network diagrams, asset management, and change management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in a related field plus four (4) years of relative experience is required;
  • DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance is required;
  • IAT Level II (CCNA-Security or GICSP or GSEC or Security + ce or SSCP) is required;
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with other team members and to solicit required information from customers to successfully troubleshoot and resolve network issues;
  • Experience configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining a network of Cisco networking devices, including Cisco routers and switches, 802.1X solutions, and proxy technologies is required;
  • Experience using Windows 7 and 10 versions, in respect to network settings and understanding of implementation, within an enterprise infrastructure is required;
  • Experience with installation, problem detection, resolution and maintenance of VPN and WAAS appliances is preferred;
  • Familiarity with SolarWinds, Splunk, and DOD Assured Compliance Assessment Solution, Aruba Clear Pass technologies and administering Symantec/Cisco/McAfee proxy servers is preferred;
  • Cisco CCENT certification or higher Cisco certification is preferred.
