Description
Overview

GBSI is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional for the role of IT Business Analyst in Pensacola, FL to provide Tier 2 trouble-shooting support on assigned applications for the Naval Education and Training Command Information Technology department.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with the team during Sprint Planning and participates in the planning to accomplish items from backlog;
  • Develops clear, specific, and testable acceptance criteria, and creates and executes test scripts;
  • Participates in daily standup meetings, planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives;
  • Participates in backlog management and maintains an emphasis on user experience and specifications;
  • Demonstrated ability as a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills who works well on teams as well as independently;
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a major field of study which (1) provides substantial knowledge in information technology; (2) is closely related to the work to be automated; or (3) is in Computer Science, a physical science or a mathematics-intensive discipline;
  • Six (6) years of industry accepted Information Technology (IT) business experience;
  • DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance is required at start;
  • Familiarity with SQL, JAVA, JIRA, and/or AWS is preferred; 
  • Certified Scrum Master or other Agile-related certification and training would be helpful;
  • Familiarity with CeTARS or other Navy training systems.
