THIS IS A PROPOSED POSITION.
GBSI is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional for the role of Analyst II in Pensacola, FL.  The Analyst II determines IT business needs for a customer/requestor by using various tools that are available. Provides Data Analysis, Statistical Analysis, Problem Solving, Content Management, Software and Network Programming. Conducts interviews, analyzes documentation, facts and figures, and determines and documents existing work flows and processes considering business applications currently being used. The Analyst II acts a liaison between clients and development departments and shall distinguish requests from needs. Excellent communication skills are needed to relay information from the IT team or department to the clients in easily understood terms for both groups.

Responsibilities
  • Analyzes, reviews and adjusts input requirements/plans, class schedules, and capacity indicators for initial, specialized and functional skills training;
  • Provides project management support including, but not limited to, database development and maintenance, tracking projects via spreadsheets, developing timelines, completing documents, and providing data resolutions;
  • Designs query and report formats to provide training data, statistics, and exception data to users of the systems and upper-echelon personnel;
  • Provides user training using various methods such as NetMeeting, Oracle WEB Conferencing, phone, Video Teleconference (VTC), Video Teletraining (VTT), or site visits, and system production support regarding procedures and data integrity;
  • Attends project management meetings and provides support materials including, but not limited to, meeting notes, minutes, enclosures, action item tracking, briefing packages, and system functionality demonstrations. Final packages will be submitted for review and posted for web access.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, or Physical Science is required.  Additional years of experience may be substituted for a Degree;
  • Six (6) years of industry accepted Information Technology (IT) experience is required;
  • DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance is required;
  • IAT II (CCNA Security or CSA+ or GICSP or GSEC or Security+ce or SSCP) certification may be required;
  • Experience with Database Analysis, Statistical Analysis, Problem Solving, Content Management, Software and Network Programming is required.
