• Manages Enterprise RedHat Linux computing infrastructure;
• Provides assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems;
• Provides support to IT systems including day to day operations, monitoring and problem resolutions for all of the client/server/storage/network devices;
• Works with a team of service desk and system administrators;
• Utilizes remedy ticketing system for trouble management documentation;
• Optimizes system operations and resource utilization and performs system capability analysis and planning;
• Researches and recommends and assists in improving system performance;
• Must be able to communicate effectively with remote customers.

• Master's degree in a technical field plus one (1) year of relative IT administration experience; OR
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field plus three (3) years of relative IT administration experience; OR
• Seven (7) years of relative IT administration experience in lieu of degree;
• DoD-issued active Top Secret w/ SCI Security Clearance is required at start;
• Required to have and maintain current IAT Level II certification (Security+, GSEC, or SSCP or CCNA-Security) in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program guidelines;
• Experience in Unix and/or Linux systems specifically;
• RedHat Linux system experience preferred;
• RHCSA, Netflow experience preferred;
• Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) preferred;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing ability;
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift in a 7x24x365 environment.
