Description
Overview

GBSI is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional for the role of Program Analyst in Huntsville, AL to provide support to the planning, evaluation, and financial management functions of a US Army Program Management Team and its supporting developers and vendors.


Responsibilities
  • Applies independent knowledge to effectively execute and maintain the planning, tracking, forecasting, and analysis of multiple budgets;
  • Coordinates and maintains funding expenditures and ensures that funds are being executed in accordance with program requirements;
  • Develops and presents detailed financial reports to the Program Manager and functional team leads capturing cost and schedule status;
  • Assists the Program Manager and functional leads in identifying programmatic and/or financial risks that could impact the overall execution of the program (cost, schedule, performance);
  • Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving skills in order address program mandates and identify solutions to programmatic challenges;
  • Recommends courses of action to rectify schedule and/or funding issues, helping to ensure that program milestones are met.
Qualifications
  • ABET accredited Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or scientific field is required;
  • Minimum four (4) years' relative budget and/or program analyst experience is required;
  • DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance is required at start; Top Secret with SCI eligibility is preferred;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required;
  • General understanding of the DoD Acquisition process is required;
  • Must have the ability to travel up to 15%.
