This is a 24/7/365 environment and current shifts available are 2nd and 3rd shifts, including weekends. 

• Manages Enterprise Red Hat Linux computing infrastructure;
• Provides assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems;
• Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.;
• Works with a team of Service desk and systems Administrators. May be called upon to assist with Service desk issues;
• Utilizes Remedy ticketing system for trouble management documentation;
• Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to DoD agencies and internal customers;
• Optimizes system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning;
• Researches and recommends/assists in improving system performance;
• Must be able to communicate effectively with remote customers.

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field.  Seven (7) years of relevant IT administration experience may be allowed  in lieu of a degree;
• DoD-issued Top Secret Security Clearance is required at start; Ability to obtain Eligibility of SCI is required;
• Required to have and maintain current IAT Level II or higher certification (Security+, GSEC, GICSP, SSCP, or CCNA-Security);
• Experience with Unix and/or Linux systems is required;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing ability is required;
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift in a 7x24x365 environment is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with RedHat Linux systems is preferred;
• Experience with RHCSA is preferred.
