Overview
GBSI is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional for the role of Windows System Administrator in Pensacola, FL. This position requires the ability to assist with the architectural, engineering, administration of Windows infrastructure, as well as participate in the change process and incident response processes.
Responsibilities
- Tests upgrades and patches to maintain Windows Server 2012 and 2016;
- Management tasking includes but is not limited to troubleshooting, metrics collection, maintenance support, and the timely entry of communication and tasking into the ticket management tool ITSM (Remedy);
- Maintains the patch repository;
- Works on duties that include designing new windows server and desktop solutions, installing software, troubleshooting, and training techs and users;
- Programs in an administrative language, including PowerShell and VMWare CLI;
- Writes and deploys Microsoft PowerShell scripts to support the collection of data from workstations and servers, assists with the deployment of software packages, and performs remediation actions on windows workstation or server assets;
- Resolves difficult interoperability problems to obtain operation across all platforms;
- Helps automate configuration of systems to specifications;
- Reviews/advises on acquisition of hardware, software, needed to support the mission;
- Performs a variety of routine and non-routine tasks associated with Cyber/Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Assurance (IA) support in accordance with National and Department of Defense (DoD) standards to include the Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) / Risk Management Framework (RMF);
- Conducts systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies, security needs, and user functional requirements;
- Interacts with the engineering management team and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, or management information systems is required; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree;
- Two (2) years of relevant experience is required;
- DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance is required at start; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance;
- IAT Level II (CCNA Security or CSA+ or GICSP or GSEC or Security+ce or SSCP) certification is required at start;
- Must be able to obtain an MCSA Windows 10 Server certification within six (6) months of hire date;
- Network and Systems Administrator experience is required.
