Overview
GBSI is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional for the role of SCRUM Master in Landover, MD.  The Scrum Master leads the service engineering team, organized as Scrum Teams, to collaborate on the design of IT services to satisfy enterprise requirements. The Scrum Team plans, designs, engineers, and delivers service-related artifacts.  

Responsibilities
  • Leads the development effort by conveying the vision to an Agile or Scrum delivery team, outlining and prioritizing work based on business value;
  • Liaises with stakeholders ensuring their interests are included in the release, and the team to ensure the release is developed by the deadline and within budget;
  • Responsible for the business aspects of the project, including ensuring the right product is being built, in the right order, within budget and by the deadline;
  • Serves as the Agile or Scrum delivery team's primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making;
  • Coordinates and monitors the Scrum process from initiation through delivery;
  • Serves as liaisons between the product owner, development team, and management in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met;
  • Ensures that team members understand project objectives;
  • Maintains product backlog and release plan and facilitate productivity by setting up meetings and removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's sprint goals;
  • Preserves flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes;
  • Facilitates an agile development team;
  • Develops and manages Agile Scrum Artifacts and Reports;
  • Manages the process for how information is exchanged.
Qualifications
  • LEVEL II: Bachelor's degree in a related field, with two (2) to five (5) years experience is required; OR Masters degree in a related field with zero (0) to two (2) years experience years of experience; OR eight (8) to ten (10) years experience in lieu of degree;
  • Must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security+ CE) at start;
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility at start;
  • Prior experience on a scrum team is a must;
  • Experience managing information technology development projects is required;
  • Demonstrated experience and in-depth understanding of Project Management practices is required;
  • Proven ability to use MS Project to manage projects is required;
  • Demonstrated experience in agile development and production environment is required;
  • PMP, Scrum Master, and/or Agile certification is desired;
  • ITIL v4 Foundations certification is desired.
