Overview

GBSI is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional for the role of Test and Evaluation Analyst in Huntsville, AL to provide support to SHIELD T&E Integration Fires and Integrated Fires Test Campaigns (IFTC) efforts with system hardware or system testing at contractor facilities and test ranges.  The candidate will directly work with SHIELD T&E Director to ensure integration with the product’s success through rigorous engineering methods and technical expertise.  The candidate will support multidisciplinary Integrated Product Teams to develop solutions that support developmental, test, and operational goals.  The candidate in this position is expected to be self-motivated and possess strong written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities
  • Supports development and maintenance of test plans and supporting documentation by assisting with definition of test objectives, scope, approach, success criteria, and entry/exit conditions in accordance with program guidance;
  • Analyzes system requirements, program documentation, and stakeholder inputs to assist in translating requirements into measurable and traceable test objectives that support program goals and contractual obligations;
  • Reviews system, subsystem, and component‑level requirements to support derivation of test requirements and ensure alignment between requirements, test objectives, and planned execution;
  • Maintains requirements traceability artifacts and supports verification that test coverage addresses functional, performance, interface, and operational requirements;
  • Prepares, updates, and maintains test‑related documentation, including test plans, procedures, cases, scripts, readiness review materials, and supporting program artifacts, ensuring compliance with established processes and standards;
  • Coordinates and supports peer and stakeholder reviews of test documentation; tracks review comments, resolutions, and approvals;
  • Assists in planning and coordinating test resources, including personnel, facilities, tools, instrumentation, software, and test articles, and tracks resource availability against test schedules;
  • Coordinates test range requirements and schedules, including preparation and submission of range requests, tracking approvals, ensuring compliance with range safety and operational requirements, and synchronizing range availability with program test plans;
  • Serves as a liaison between program management, engineering teams, operations personnel, and test range organizations to support alignment of test activities, resources, and schedules;
  • Develops and maintains test schedules and integrated timelines, tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, and constraints; provides schedule status and impact assessments to program leadership;
  • Supports test execution activities by tracking progress against approved plans, documenting issues and constraints, and escalating schedule or resource impacts as needed;
  • Assists with collection, organization, and management of test data to ensure data integrity, configuration control, and traceability to test objectives and requirements;
  • Performs preliminary qualitative and quantitative analysis of test results to support assessment of system performance, identification of anomalies, and evaluation of requirement compliance;
  • Prepares draft test reports, Quick‑Look summaries, interim status updates, and supporting briefing materials for review by senior technical or program staff;
  • Compiles final test documentation, including results, findings, risks, and lessons learned, to support program decision‑making and lifecycle reviews;
  • Communicates test status, issues, risks, and results through written reports, briefings, and coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Minimum high school diploma and at least twenty-three (23) years of experience is required;
  • AAS degree in Engineering or science and at least twenty-one (21) years of experience; or BS/BA degree in an Engineering or science and at least twenty (20) years of experience; or MS/MA degree in an Engineering or science and at least eighteen (18) years of experience is preferred;
  • Seven (7) years T&E experience with Air and Missile Defense (AMD) systems such as PATRIOT, M-SHORAD, IFPC- Inc 2. is preferred;
  • DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance is required at start;
  • Experience supporting / leading missile flight test missions is required;
  • Experience working on (applicable to ground and/or flight tests):
    • Test plan designs
    • Test resource requirements
    • Test scenarios
    • Performance analysis
    • Production qualification testing
    • Requirements testing
    • Post-mission test analysis and reporting
  • Working knowledge of the DoD Army Acquisition process & Test and Evaluation is required;
  • Must be able to travel up to 35% is required.
