Overview

GBSI is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional for the role of Learning Management System Developer/Admin in Pensacola, FL to provide support to the Navy, ensuring quality of training delivery through performance of content validation, lifecycle maintenance and management tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Provides government acceptance support for eLearning content developed and delivered by external vendors;
  • Performs quality assurance validation checks to test for conformance to standards;
  • Troubleshoots courses and content throughout eLearning lifecycle;
  • Knowledge of eLearning content development is integral to identifying problem areas;
  • Participates in course and content testing. An understanding of test procedures is necessary;
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance and improve processes supporting development initiatives;
  • Provides technical writing support;
  • Follows standard procedures for problem escalation;
  • Trains, advises, and assists other team members, developers, and government entity;
  • Researches technologies that may affect eLearning training and applications;
  • Other duties as assigned.
 Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems is required. Additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree;
  • Six (6) years of industry accepted Information Technology (IT) experience, including Electronic Documentation System Administration, Network Administration, and Database Administration is required;
  • DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance is required at start;
  • Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) IAT I (CompTIA A+ ce ) certification is required at start;
  • Practical experience with eLearning training, and understanding of Learning Management Systems used for delivery is required;
  • Working knowledge of Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) sequencing, navigation and computer managed instruction (cmi) standards is required;
  • Experienced with common eLearning coding to include; JavaScript, XML, CSS, and HTML5 is required;
  • Understanding of multimedia types, associated file extensions and interactions with computing environments is required;
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify issues within eLearning courses, coding, and applications is required;
  • Must be able to complete work accurately and independently, while adhering to defined processes. Good attention to detail and follow-through skills to wrap up open issues;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
