Overview

GBSI is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional for the role of Cyber HBSS Administrator in Pensacola, FL to provide support to plan, coordinate, and execute HBSS deployments to meet DoD compliance, as well as mission sustainment.  This role includes collaboration with peers across a wide array of work centers for the interoperability testing, implementation, and sustainment of HBSS ePO servers and associated agents/product suites.  In addition to the technical skills, the position requires strong initiative, planning and execution skills, strong communication skills and the ability to manage challenging situations.

Responsibilities
  • Must have a strong knowledge and skill set as a Host Based Security System (HBSS) administrator. Skillset is to include ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), agent deployments, module deployment/troubleshooting;
  • Knowledge and understanding of operating systems, networks and services;
  • In depth knowledge experience in at least one field of information systems (Windows Enterprise Systems, Linux Enterprise Systems, Server virtualization with VMWare vSphere, and Database Architecture and Administration);
  • Knowledge of at least one Unix/Linux variant eg. Red Hat, CentOS, BSD or at least one Windows variant with the ability to engineer, install, administer and maintain;
  • Knowledge of IP Networking, network hardware, basic networking tools, common TCP protocols and common TCP and UDP services;
  • Broad experience of testing various aspects of a solution including a range of operating systems/Servers, databases, web services such as XML, web applications, network Switches & Firewalls;

Essential Job Functions

  • Works with key subject matter experts to define, create, execute, document and report on HBSS deployment procedures and troubleshooting guides;
  • Provides response and action to address all OPORDs, STIGs, and IAVAs related to HBSS;
  • Performs upgrades of HBSS ePO servers, deployed agents, and associated modules;
  • Collaborates with the Engineering Team for HBSS integration into new capabilities prior to production deployment;
  • Supports HBSS tuning efforts to include but not limited to, HIPS, Antivirus, ACCM, Policy Auditor, and DLP;
  • Supports Security Operations Center (SOC) operations to include HBSS alert creation, alert monitoring, OPORD/TASKORD compliance;
  • Analyzes and evaluates the design and operating effectiveness of Information technology, security, and HBSS controls that are in place.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a field of Science with at least none (9) years of relevant HBSS experience; OR Master's degree in a field of Science with at least seven (7) years of relative HBSS experience is required;
  • DoD-issued active Secret Security Clearance is required at start;
  • Required to have and maintain current IAT Level II certification (Security+, GSEC, or SSCP or CCNA-Security) in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program guidelines;
  • Have a current DISA HBSS Certification of completed HBSS training;
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge and application of the DISA HBSS program is required;
  • Information System Security Officer (ISSO) experience is preferred;
  • Investigative and analytical problem solving skills, and critical thinking and contextual analysis abilities is required;
  • Strong hands-on and can-do attitude, excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills, ability to work in teams of technical and non-technical experts is required;
  • Ability to communicate professionally and efficiently both verbally and in writing in fast paced environment is essential;
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills for resolving security issues is required;
  • Organization skills to balance and prioritize work is required;
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
